A New Heist Hits GTA Online Next Week

Rockstar is keeping GTA Online busy ahead of GTA 6's November 2026 launch, with the Kortz Center Heist set to go live on 14 July for PS5 and PS4 players. The update is already rolling out as a free next-gen upgrade on PlayStation 5, so there's no excuse not to get ready before the doors open.

What to Expect

The Kortz Center — a real Los Santos landmark — becomes the target of an elaborate art theft. Key details confirmed so far:

  • Solo or co-op — the heist supports both single-player runs and full crew play, giving you flexibility depending on who's online.
  • Mansion required — you'll need to own a Mansion property to access the content, making it one of the pricier entry points for recent GTA Online updates.
  • Art Studio extension — a new upgradeable add-on for the Mansion, presumably tied to planning or executing the heist itself.

The Mansion + Art Studio combo suggests Rockstar is leaning into player-owned bases as long-term content hubs, a design philosophy we're likely to see carried forward into GTA 6.

Why It Matters Before GTA 6

With less than five months until GTA 6 drops, Rockstar appears committed to giving GTA Online a strong final run of content. Heists that blend property ownership with co-op gameplay could be a preview of the kind of structured criminal ventures we can expect in the next chapter. If you've been away from Los Santos for a while, this is a solid reason to jump back in and top up your in-game funds before the move to Vice City.
