GTA 6: Rockstar Pulls Leaked Map and GTA 5 DLC Content
Take-Two is issuing takedowns against leaked GTA 6 map footage and scrapped GTA 5 DLC content across the internet.
Take-Two Moves Against Leaked Content
Take-Two Interactive, the parent company behind Rockstar Games, has launched a fresh wave of takedowns targeting footage and images related to two sensitive areas: scrapped downloadable content for GTA 5 and an early version of the GTA 6 map that surfaced through leaks. The removals are hitting videos and posts across multiple platforms.
This kind of aggressive intellectual property enforcement is not unusual for Take-Two, which has historically been one of the more litigious publishers in the industry when it comes to protecting unreleased or internal material.
What Is Being Removed
- Early GTA 6 map footage — apparently showing a version of the game world that differs from what Rockstar has since refined ahead of the November 19, 2026 release
- Scrapped GTA 5 DLC material — content that was never officially released and only became public through data leaks and insider sources
Neither batch of content was ever sanctioned by Rockstar, making both legitimate targets for copyright and trade-secret enforcement.
What This Means for GTA 6 Fans
If you were relying on leaked map images to plan your exploration ahead of launch, treat that information with extra caution — the map in those leaks may represent an outdated build that no longer reflects the final game. Rockstar continues to iterate right up to release, so early leaked layouts can be misleading.
The safest approach is to wait for official reveals. Rockstar has confirmed more information will come before launch, so there is little reason to risk spoiling yourself on content that may already be obsolete.
We will continue tracking any new official map reveals or world details on our news page as the November 2026 launch approaches.
