GTA Online's Biggest Heist in Five Years

Rockstar Games has confirmed that the Kortz Center Heist will go live in GTA Online on July 14, 2026 — marking the first major, brand-new heist added to the game since Cayo Perico dropped back in 2020. That's a six-year wait, so expectations are understandably high.

The premise revolves around stealing valuable artwork from the iconic Kortz Center location. Players team up with characters Mr. Faber and Raf De Angelis to pull off the job, and the operation unfolds across multiple stages: scouting the location for entry points, gathering the necessary gear, and then executing the theft itself. Staying undetected is key — you'll want to eliminate CCTV footage and leave no witnesses behind.

Art Studio, Forgeries, and Weekly Variety

Beyond the heist itself, the update introduces an Art Studio property that players can purchase for their in-game home. Once acquired, a talented counterfeiter moves in and produces forgeries — replicas used to swap out the real pieces during the job, a nice narrative touch that adds some colour to the caper.

Importantly, this isn't a one-time run. Rockstar has designed the heist with long-term replayability in mind:

  • Three new paintings rotate into the target pool each week
  • Multiple approaches are available, giving players genuine tactical flexibility
  • Supports solo play or co-op teams of up to three

While solo is possible, Rockstar's multi-stage structure clearly rewards coordinated crews — expect bigger payouts and smoother runs with a full team.

What This Means for GTA 6 Players

With GTA 6 still on track for its November 19, 2026 launch, Rockstar is clearly working to keep the existing GTA Online community engaged right up until the handover. The Kortz Center Heist looks like a strong send-off for the GTA V era — and a reminder of just how much depth Rockstar brings to its online content.
